Vocation Awareness Week

Vocation Awareness Week

During the week of November 6-12, 2022, the nation and our diocese will once again celebrate Vocation Awareness Week. The theme of the diocesan celebration this year is “Living the Eucharist.” As we celebrate the Diocesan Year of Eucharistic Revival we remember that it is the gift of Jesus’ own Body and Blood which makes possible and enlivens our own gift of self in any vocation. We particularly remember our need for priests as without the priesthood there is no Eucharist and without the Eucharist we cannot be the Church. “The bread that we break is it not a participation in the Body of Christ? Because the loaf of bread is one, we, though many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf.” 1 Corinthians 10: 16-17

The Vocation Office would like to encourage priests, deacons, faith formation and Catholic School teachers, and all Catholics to celebrate Vocation Awareness Week.
