NH Guild of Catholic Healthcare Professionals to Honor
Denise Venne with St. Martin de Porres Award
(MANCHESTER) - On Wednesday, April 14, immediately following the annual White Mass, the NH Guild of Catholic Healthcare Professionals will honor Ms. Denise A. Venne, R. T. (R)(M), with the Saint Martin de Porres Award, given annually to a Catholic healthcare professional who exemplifies the virtues of Catholic healthcare.
Ms. Venne is a Mammography Technologist at the Elliot Breast Health Center. As a supervisor, she is responsible for quality control and compliance with Food and Drug Administration and American College of Radiology regulations.
Ms. Venne also provides direct care to patients and is noted for her attentive ear and supportive manner, with many asking for her by name. “Denise is an excellent technologist with over 47 years of experience and complete dedication,” said her colleague Terry Steiner, Office Manager. “She is truly driven by her faith and is the perfect example of someone with compassion and selflessness in her work at the Breast Health Center.”
Ms. Venne is also the co-President of the Women’s Club at the Parish of the Transfiguration in Manchester, a role in which she has served for more than 25 years. Her co-President Mari DeBlois said, “Denise has shown so much dedication to her parish community by making sure a medical health speaker appears in the schedule of events that are planned for the Women’s Club meetings. She reaches out to help fulfill the needs of the parish, and always looks for what she can do next for her mission of loving and caring for God’s people. Denise is a wonder and a blessing to all who know her and all she will meet.”
Ms. Venne is planning to retire from the Elliot in April, and looks forward to traveling and to spending more time with her adult son Brad and his wife Carolyn and especially their twin boys, Peter and Henry. She is a lifelong resident of Manchester.
