NH Catholic Schools Teacher of the Year:
Ann MacGregor of Saint Elizabeth Seton School in Rochester

(MANCHESTER, NH) - The Most Reverend Peter A. Libasci, Bishop of Manchester, and Mr. David Thibault, Superintendent of Schools, announced today that Ann MacGregor, longtime educator at Saint Elizabeth Seton School in Rochester, is the 2022 recipient of the Saint John Baptist de la Salle Catholic School Teacher of the Year Award.

Also announced were the recipients of the Saint Joseph the Worker Community Partner of the Year Award, Sister Jeannette Landreville, CSC, and the Saint John Vianney Cleric of the Year Award, Very Reverend Alan Tremblay, for his support of St. Joseph Regional School and Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Keene.

Mr. Thibault said of all those honored, “Our vision, in union with Bishop Libasci, is to make Catholic education affordable, accessible, and available to all families throughout our state. But our Catholic schools simply would not exist without the commitment of our educators, administrators, clergy, and lay partners in the community. Their selfless support is what allows our students to succeed, and we are proud to honor them with these awards.”

MacGregor, who retired this year after twenty-six years in Catholic education, was one of three finalists for the Teacher of the Year Award. The others were Matthew Arnold of Trinity High School in Manchester, and Marygrace Bartoldus of St. John Regional School in Concord.

The awards, now in their sixth year, celebrate the selfless acts of individuals who advance the mission of Catholic education in New Hampshire. Award recipients were honored at the Recognizing Excellence Gala, held at the Doubletree in Manchester on June 16th, 2022.
